Yesterday’s Prisoner Swap Was a Biden Diplomatic Coup

It is something Trump never could have pulled off because he hates our allies.

It was a bad trade. Unjustly persecuted Americans and Russians swapped for killers and terrorists who will now be feted by the Kremlin and treated as heroes. One Russian commenter to an online article in Russia said: “As sad as it is we are getting killers returned to us, at least good people are being finally freed.”

Those sentiments ring very true.

Nonetheless, it is always good to witness a moment when you know that your president is working for you — making you proud to be an American and proud that you cast a vote for him. Joe Biden was on the tarmac greeting the newly-freed “hostages,” that is what these people were, after all, because foreigners being arrested nowadays, especially Americans, are not law-breakers deserving of imprisonment but citizens snatched up from the streets of Russia and then held hostage until American meet their demands. The presence of Americans in Russia today is an inconvenient reminder that America is better than Putin’s rotting society. Russians aren’t rotting, but their society is because of him, and this bothers him, so he unfairly locks up innocent people.

The past holds the answers to today’s problems. “Be curious, not judgmental,” at least until you have all the facts. Think and stop watching cable news.
