Who is castigating overweight people? I agree that corporate America has played a HUGE role in making American obese but you are playing right into the “no one is responsible for themselves” attitude, it’s always someone else’s fault.” Why do people need to drive half of a mile to McDonald's or the diner when they could take a pleasant walk? Why do people have to get French fries with everything? Massive buckets of nachos with chemically-made cheese and vats of sugar-filled drinks in movie theaters? Bring an apple or some cherries. I sneak that stuff into theaters all the time. There have always been heavy people and that is okay, but soon we will be saying there used to be slim people. Half of our nation is obese. “Accepting” your body is wonderful but if you are 400 or 500 pounds, you won’t live longer. Sorry, your attitude is why this world is doomed. I am sure you also think it’s okay to blast air conditioning 10 months a year and agree that supermarkets should be freezers that require winter coats on to enter.

The past holds the answers to today’s problems. “Be curious, not judgmental,” at least until you have all the facts. Think and stop watching cable news.
