Wall Street Journal Reporter Arrested for Espionage in Russia

The Kremlin has nothing left to do but persecute innocent Americans

Cowards fear the truth. There are instances of such cowards in America — the Republican Party, for instance, is a party whose collective brain has been baked through with conspiracy, lies, and loyalty to a criminal; and yet, we have a counter to those lies and that is what helps us in our struggle to preserve democracy.

Russia, however, regards truth as something its citizenry needs to be concerned with and so it has crushed all independent media. The Kremlin fears the complexities of truth; it fears that it might shine a light on its eternal cowardice, on its moral vapidness, and on the simple, but undeniable fact that Vladimir Putin is a monster who deserves to rot in a dark, wet prison cell with mold-covered walls.

And in its quest to destroy the truth and control reality, the Kremlin has imprisoned an American journalist on charges of espionage.

Russia has expelled foreign journalists in recent years, but in jailing an American reporter, Evan Gershkovich, and formally accusing him of being a spy, the Kremlin took a step with no precedent since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
