Trump’s Assault on the Nation’s Weather Forecasters Resembles His COVID Response
‘If we don’t do tests, then we won’t know how many are sick. And then the numbers look great.’
Remember during the first nightmare when the smartest orange person in America looked into the camera and, without cracking a smile, said that he wished people would stop getting tested for COVID? When asked why, he somehow maintained that serious look and said, “Well, if we don’t test, then we won’t get the numbers of how many people are infected.” Trump blamed the increasing number of COVID infected not on the failures of his administration but on the tests.
The same rationale regarding climate change and the increased prevalence of so-called 100-year-storms exists in Trump 2.0. The National Weather Service (NOAA) is the latest agency on the chopping block for DOGE. NOAA is the messenger.
It seems the authors of Project 25 resent NOAA because of its accurate reporting of the weather. How can informing Americans about what is taking place with the weather upset those fascists?
