Trump Has a Problem With Immigration Because…He’s a Dumbass

I know it’s rude to call a disgraced ex-president such a person, but my recent discovery leads me to only one conclusion.

This is a ward in a mental hospital in 1904, St. Louis. We can only imagine the methods used to “treat” the ill women in this photo. As pleasant as the hardwood floor and the intricately designed window at the end of the hallway seem, I would venture to guess that life inside this institution was unpleasant. I can almost smell the place. It is the odor of aching desperation and permanent confusion (“Why am I here?”).

Women and men like the faces staring at us from the past are today being emptied of similar institutions in countries all over the world and shipped to the southern border of the United States. Upon arrival, they request “asylum,” which in the world of Donald Trump means that they want to be sent to places like this long-ago shuttered mental hospital in St. Louis. Because the number of “crazies” is so great, the U.S. border people are overwhelmed. As a result, these not-well people flood our towns and cities, committing all kinds of atrocities against otherwise peaceful, law-abiding white people.

Donald Trump, folks, has confused “political asylum” with mental-health “asylums.”…

The past holds the answers to today’s problems. “Be curious, not judgmental,” at least until you have all the facts. Think and stop watching cable news.
