Trump Explains Why a President Needs to Be ‘Above the Law’
The average Trump follower did this in school when the teacher was talking about civics. “Why do I need this stuff? It’s boring. Besides, it’s not going to matter to me. I want to be a race car driver when I grow up.”
Fast-forward three decades, and Eddie Jr. is not a race car driver — well, he is on his PlayStation — but he is competent and responsible when packing out the frozen food at the local supermarket during the night shift. He makes a little over the minimum wage (he was lucky to live in one of the states where he has a “right to work,” meaning he opted out of the local union for retail workers). His wage today lags behind the COVID-related inflation rate.
Little Eddie, as the locals around town call him, has voted twice for Trump and even went to Washington on January 6th but has yet to enter the Capitol Building. Little Ed does not understand why a president has so little power.
“The Congress is corrupt. Trump is a great man with amazing solutions for making America great again. If his power is limited, or he has to worry about being arrested when he leaves office, he will never be able to save our country.”
