Travel Warnings About US Violence Issued to Visiting Foreigners
There are genuinely a million things that bring people to the United States each year. There are so many things about our country that thoroughly capture the fancy of foreigners that it is truly hard not to be amazed by the indescribable scale of America.
And yet, if you are a citizen of Australia, or, say, the United Kingdom, it is wise to check the travel advisories before traveling to learn more about how to deal with America’s gun problem.
Mexico is being particularly careful given the right’s special kind of hatred for most people from south of the border.
It specifically noted that “historical racial and ethnic tension, including opposition to immigration, have led to attacks by violent extremist groups” and then cited the mass shooting at an El Paso, Texas, Wal-Mart in 2019, in which more than 20 people were killed.
The government advised its citizens to avoid large crowds in the United States and for travelers to always carry a copy of their Mexican passport and an official photo ID (Travel Warnings About US Violence).
