Trump put the AK-47 into the hands of the latest mentally ill person, but ‘they’ still blame Democrats and immigrants.
A mentally ill man somehow got within striking distance of an ex-president and almost got a shot off that would most likely have killed the fat, orange blob. Let’s set the record straight: This was not an assassination attempt. It was a man in a state where carrying weapons around like baseball mitts is permitted for a stroll. The Secret Service saw him and started shooting at him — yes, it seems he was aiming the rifle at them.
Regardless of my hatred for Donald Trump, it would have been a tragedy indeed had the man fired at Trump and hit him. His weapon of choice was an AK-47, the weapon preferred by communist insurgents and the Chinese and Russian armies.
Today, a man in the gym in Portugal approached me to talk about the incident. He dislikes the immigrants coming to Portugal — but he let me know that “my type” is okay — and he seemed worried that Trump was put in such danger. Nonetheless, the look on his face was not so much of shock but almost the kind of look you get when you read about the array of sexual perversions that exist.
