The Reaction by Bud Light Drinkers to Recent Scandal Confirms My Suspicions

Bud Light has always been a filter for me of sorts

I had hoped to refrain from the Bud Light “scandal” but it was not to be. Finding myself in Munich the other day, I set out to one of my favorite local establishments to enjoy what I consider to be the best beer on the planet, Augustiner.

As I pulled the snowball-like froth of the beer’s head into my mouth, it dawned on me that there really could be little the beer’s brewer could do to push me away. Not far from me two younger American guys were taking what seemed to be their first sips of this beer. They seemed to be enjoying the creamy, frothiness. I waited to hear something about Bud Light but they moved away out of earshot.

Bud Light has always been a sort of filter for me. If you say you drink it, I make internal course corrections about how I will start to talk to you. I guess you could call it my own little compass.

Let’s begin with this beer in the image above. It too is Bud Light. It is made by one of America’s oldest, and sadly one of its most important breweries, Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev, to be precise). The product you see here is Bud Light Mango-flavored seltzer. I would rather drink puddle water than a can of this nonsense.
