He also warned me that AI is going to wipe out our industry anyway so just chill and accept the new changes

“This can all end right now. Just say one word.”

Good f-ing news, people, this will be my last article about the changes. Medium will either admit their error and return a logical earning structure to us or it won’t. I am betting that it won’t especially after I received a comment from the Medium CEO, Tony Stubblebine, and was told in so many words that I write too much.

Out of respect for his comment to me, which is public, I won’t share it here. One of my followers, Deborah Bromley, defended my writing. Thank you, Deborah.

So the CEO of this company for which I am a non-contracted freelance writer of sorts while offering me backhanded praise that I am a very productive writer given that I consistently put out two and sometimes three articles a day, told me in so many words that it makes no sense for me to keep up writing in such huge volumes.

I honestly don’t think it was going to matter what we did at Medium. AI is about to kill any market for high-volume writing.

The past holds the answers to today’s problems. “Be curious, not judgmental,” at least until you have all the facts. Think and stop watching cable news.
