The Biden Team Saying All the Wrong Things About Debate Performance
The wagons are being circled, and his team is working overtime to spare him the truth.
As Democrats try to recover from “Black Thursday,” and some of us have begun pushing for the candidacy of Michelle Obama — I admit I was shocked by how some people dislike her — the Biden team is living like Thursday was just another day in the life. It makes me ask, was Biden’s performance at the debate something they are already immune to? One of those “Uh-oh, he’s losing it again moments,” or are they genuinely as baffled as everyone else?
Whatever their true feelings, they are not letting us see them. His whole team has been hitting the phones with unwavering dedication to keep all major donors and leading Democrats under control. Few, I imagine, have slept since the debate ended, and their commitment is commendable, even if the excuses have begun to resemble the very same ones that have brought down leaders in the past.
