Since mainstream media seems not to be so bothered by the SCOTUS immunity ruling, it falls to the rest of us to rage, rant, whine, and stamp our feet — in a nutshell, foment!
As the nation readies itself for its birthday, a day we celebrate because our Founding Fathers had the fortitude to overcome the overbearing heat in Philadelphia that week in 1776 and sign a declaration of our independence from the tyrannical king in England, the Supreme Court of the nation later formed has returned the monarchy to the country. The smart men on that that day never could imagine the sickness of a Donald Trump and his talent for turning half the country into a lawless cult.
SCOTUS made presidents monarch not to benefit the law-abiding and honest Joe Biden but to benefit a criminal; a morally corrupt ex-president who promises to us his new powers not for the benefit of the people but to exact revenge against those who don’t like him and against those who say he is wrong when he insists the 2020 election was stolen from him. He promises to become a dictator for “one day,” but now, thanks to the July 2, 2024 ruling, he no longer has to worry about limiting his dictatorship to just one day.
