Taxation Without Representation

Our elected officials govern as if we didn’t even exist and we vote as if they didn’t exist

Are we still relevant? I don’t feel very relevant these days. Do politicians really care about our interests? Or, do they now just understand that their main function is not so much to look after “our interests” but rather to stop the momentum of the opposing tribe?

Of all of the politicians currently make me feel relevant, and heard, there are only two: Elizabeth Warren and Mike Bloomberg, and yet overall they are politically irrelevant.

I love Joe Biden but as the president, he is forced to silence his more progressive urges and govern toward the center. When he goes just a wee bit left, the Republicans and Manchin completely stifle his agenda — as it is, they have effectively ruined most of his major initiatives.

Pretty much everyone else up there governing is clearly not listening to us. Many on the left love AOC but when all is said and done, she has been legislatively ineffective; although, she is strong at getting Democrats fired up to vote. As some of her colleagues like Nancy Pelosi have complained, she is more about the narrative and less about governing.
