Another day, more crimes against humanity by Russia

I speak a handful of languages: Russian, German, Italian, French, and a little Portuguese. The main one is, of course, English. Having visited the U.K. many times and worked with Brits, I know they use some words differently than we do.

Take the word “fannypack.” This is a very innocent word in American English. In British English, the word fanny is the equivalent of the c-word or c***. Britsh people call men, who are real jerks, c**** and the word doesn’t offend the way our American c-word does.

This leads me to my question about the British intelligence services who back in September seemed to be everywhere telling the world that Moscow was “running out of missiles.” While I am of course being facetious, I am going to ask just in case: Does “running out” mean something different in British English?

Since those pronouncements, Russia has fired thousands of missiles and hundreds of drones. Commenters to my articles mocked me for being so naive as to “not believe” Russia was running out. One guy wrote me and said that the missiles Russia was using were actually for air defense.
