Robert, this is of course a slight simplification on my part but it’s one generated by exhaustion at lack of love of country that seems to motivate conservatives. I can no longer make excuses for conservatives who with all of the facts in front of them, choose their tribe’s interests over those of America. We are not getting better or just going to flit through this Trumpist crisis by doing things the way we used to — and so, continuing to support Trump is hatred for our nation.
