Republicans Threatening Violence after Mar-a-Lago
This is not an incitement to violence but rather a statement of fact. Some elected officials of the Republican Party employ the use of extreme rhetoric to obscure the truth for political gain.
All politicians spin stuff to their advantage. That is part of the game. The obfuscation employed by Republicans, however, goes to a different level for one simple reason: January 6th.
The events of that day show us that there is a significant minority of Republican/Trump supporters willing to use violence as a means to achieve a political end they consider more appropriate for the United States — for a better America for the rest of us.
By telling them to “bring it on,” I am suggesting that the timing of their violence be manipulated. Violence does seem fairly inevitable.
Hours later, on the podcast “Bannon’s War Room,” Mr. Bannon himself asked Joe Kent, a Trump-endorsed House candidate in Washington State, for his assessment of the search.
“This just shows everyone what many of us have been saying for a very long time,” Mr. Kent declared. “We’re at war (F.B.I. Ignited Violent Rhetoric).”
