Planning Lukashenko’s Death, Russia Decides to ‘Move’ Nukes into Belarus
The Kremlin can then claim that any popular uprising is against its national interests and annex the country
Next stop, Minsk, for the state funeral of President Alexander Lukashenko. The wheels are in motion, folks.
The most genuine sign that his days are numbered comes as Kremlin representatives met with their Belarus counterparts and it was decided to strengthen the relationship between the two dictatorships. Russia will begin to move nuclear missiles into Belarus for the defense of, I guess, Belarus.
Russia and Belarus signed a deal Thursday formalizing the deployment of Moscow’s tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of its ally, although control of the weapons remains in the Kremlin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the deployment of the shorter-range weapons in Belarus earlier this year in a move widely seen as a warning to the West as it stepped up military support for Ukraine (Russia Signs Deal to Deploy Tactical Nuclear Weapons).
