Paul, you are right on many points, especially the part about how a prosperous Ukraine will be a perfect foil to Putin's BS about the Russian way being the right way; this has always been his fear that Ukraine, and anyone from the near abroad, could succeed without Moscow. When that happens, Russians will have a laboratory for what is possible if authoritarianism was snuffed out. I am not saying a "truce." Russia is presented with a plan that a ceasefire will take place and Nato forces will be stationed in Ukraine to ensure no more incursions from Russia--if need be, make it DMZ like. Then, the West turned Ukraine into a shining example of what Russia could be without Putin. Turn Ukraine into an impregnable fortress both militarily and economically. But until corruption in Ukraine is defeated, success will always be difficult to achieve. We all know that Russia can never be trusted, as we have seen forever pertaining to everything--Russia lies; it's a fact. But, if Ukraine doesn't get a breather, you can bring all the supplies you want--and I commend you for that--but in the end, it won't matter. As much as I hate this feeling, it seems a corner has been turned, and Ukraine will struggle to get the initiative back. I hope I am wrong.

The past holds the answers to today’s problems. “Be curious, not judgmental,” at least until you have all the facts. Think and stop watching cable news.
