Manchin Ensures More Pain and Suffering for America

The cat and mouse games played by the West Virginia senator ensure that as little as possible gets done

If you are feeling like that little mouse, then you aren’t alone. The silver-haired, slick-suited, and oil-rich senator from West Virginia has yanked the scab clear of the wound again; and, just like the last time, this time hurts, too. Maybe not as much but it still hurts.

I would say the pain makes me brood; yes, that’s it, I am officially brooding thanks to everybody’s most reviled Uncle Joe Manchin.

Senator Joe Manchin III, Democrat of West Virginia, pulled the plug on Thursday on negotiations to salvage key pieces of President Biden’s agenda, informing his party’s leaders that he would not support funding for climate or energy programs or raising taxes on wealthy Americans and corporations (Manchin Pulls Plug).

You may be asking yourself at this moment, “why? Why did he have to play this game again? Why did he have to pretend that he was genuinely trying to do something only yet again pull the rug out from the future well-being of this planet? Is it because Joe is not getting enough love at home? Shame you on, little Manchinettes, perhaps one extra hug a day of the vile old fox would have helped us push…
