MAGA Fascists Love Putin for Two Reasons
Because they failed history in high school and they love the New Testament
Most of us would agree that America’s Christian fascists — MAGA — are not the sharpest tools in the shed. There is really no other way to explain how a person can make it to adulthood and believe the nonsense spewed by Trump, Steve Bannon, etc.
This collective ignorance is not limited to just things like, for example, their reaction to the COVID pandemic, climate change, Trump, guns — the more there are, the safer we all are — and the rest of the shopping cart full of lunacy. It also pertains to their love for Putin. Putin is a hero to them, and the Ukrainians, fighting to turn back the tide of Russia’s fascist revolution, are suckers. They should be left out to dry and wither on the vine in the eyes of the MAGA leaders like Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, and 117 others who voted not to fund Ukraine last week.
In the past few days, Republicans managed to strip billions in military and humanitarian assistance requested by Mr. Biden out of a stopgap spending bill to keep the government from shutting down. They rallied a majority of their colleagues in the House to vote against funding a program to train and equip Ukrainian troops. And a small faction of hard-liners joined with Democrats…
