The face a father didn’t love and one that even peaceful people want to kick, Donald Trump rejoiced yesterday when the Supreme Court pretty much gave him everything he asked for in the immunity case. As We Near the November Election, SCOTUS paves the way to dictatorship.

Trump responded to the ruling in a post to Truth Social, writing: “BIG WIN FOR OUR CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN (2-Sentence Response)!”

Step by step, we blissfully march toward the red brick building just back behind the small forest. Awaiting us inside the damp but well-lit facility is an extreme harshness that promises nothing good for our nation, our democracy, or our future. The United States Supreme Court is the highest court in the land. It has been relied upon to maintain judicial balance and help the rest of us understand the meaning of the often hard-to-understand language of our nation’s most important document, the Constitution.
