Hi Carey,

Look forward to reading your book. As a student of history, you know how pretty much everything we need to know has already happened; and yet, so few Americans, well, people--I currently live in Russia and have been stuck for over a year due to pandemic--and they too know history very poorly. I will remain vigilante and I won't let up.

As for your book, the French and Germany history is so intriguing. I haven't lived full-time in the US for over two decades and so my trips take me all over Europe. I was so shocked when once on June 5th, after a nice dinner in this little French Inn, I strolled about the small village. Came upon the war monument and figured it would be one to WWI or II. It was the Franco-Prussia War of 1870! And the monument had almost 50 names on it. The village was miniscule. That night, I headed to the beaches to be in the landing area at the times when the paratroopers were landing in '44. These little forays in the past truly help realize how far we have fallen.
