Have We Entered the ‘Caligula’ Phase of our Downfall?

Let’s take a not-so-fun little quiz. Who said the words spoken above? Was it Emperor Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, otherwise lovingly known as “Caligula,” or the Orange Emperor Donald Trump?

The originator of these words was, of course, Caligula. Someone on the Supreme Court, however, decided to dust these words off and give them another spin in modern times, so they granted Trump immunity from all crimes committed while in office. And here we are today, folks, with our very own version of Caligula, which means “little boot,” and was a sweet nickname given to the future emperor by the Roman soldiers who thought the toddler’s military uniform looked cute on him. I wonder what nickname Trump was given as a little kid tagging behind his dad while he kicked Black families out of their apartments for falling behind on rents that were three times higher than…
