Freed from ‘Journalistic’ Restraints, Will Tucker Now Light the Fuse?
A liar, a racist, and toxic, his god-like status makes him very dangerous
The dust is still settling on his frail ego. The ringing in his ears caused by the explosive words spoken to him over the phone last Monday by Fox CEO Suzanne Scott — “You’re fired, punk!” — has dulled but surely an echo remains. Certain he was invincible, Kryptonite found the cable news supervillain and now he is unemployed and vulnerable.
Sadly, however, I fear he won’t be unemployed for long. Even if he doesn’t slip back into a new position at some other purveyor of destructive propaganda, Tucker Carlson will use his greatest skill, lying, to make as much money as he can possibly make. He has a sweet lifestyle and a brood of kids needing care — Hummers, jet skis, etc. — and being the good provider he is, Carlson will gleefully burn America to ashes before he would ever shrink his carbon footprint.
Tucker has a skill set that many sadly have nowadays but where he differs from others, he has an audience that is so rabidly supportive that there is almost nothing he can say or do that could cool their hot passion for him.
