The 45th president of the United States decided that the pressures of the office and the nation’s problems could wait. He had more important scores to settle. Allegedly a genius, the new president didn’t need to study the “Briefing Books” given to him daily by teams of experts, but he did find it in the nation’s interest to keep up with television ratings.
Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, he asked the assembled Christian hypocrites to offer up kind words for Arnold Schwarzenegger. The man known as the Terminator had taken over the show that regrettably made Trump a virtual reality star in the homes of middle America, The Celebrity Apprentice.
Ever the Brooklyn wedding emcee and self-ordained comic, Trump said:
During his remarks [at the Prayer Breakfast], Trump called out the low ratings of the NBC reality show he once hosted and criticized the new host, action star, and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. “And I want to just pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings, OK,” the president said (Yes, All This Happened).
