Fact: Trump Hates the Military

Don’t get ahead of yourself. You are not viewing the fallen heroes of the D-Day assault in Normandy, France. The 9,387 dead Americans resting eternally in Laurent-sur-Mer, slightly to the northeast of the two American landing beaches, Utah and Omaha, are “losers and suckers” — according to the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump, of course, denies saying such disrespectful and even insane things, but we all know that Donald Trump is a pathological liar, and he never takes responsibility for anything. Much better, much more honorable people and Americans who regard their word as a precious resource are on record for hearing Trump say such things.
The fact of the matter is that Trump did say some of this to a general, the retired four-star Marine John Kelly, who served as his secretary of Homeland Security and later as his White House chief of staff. In 2017, Trump, according to Goldberg’s reporting, was standing with Kelly in Arlington National Cemetery at the grave of Kelly’s son, a Marine killed in Afghanistan. “I don’t get it,” the new president said, standing among the headstones. “What was in it for them?” A year and a half…
