In Case You Had Any Doubts, Set Them Aside, Putin Is Insane

We are no longer dealing with a rational actor in Moscow

Reaching for the criminally-irresponsible rhetoric of the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Kirill I, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin at an “annexation rally” in Moscow stated in the clearest terms possible:

“The battlefield to which fate and history have called us is the battlefield for our people, for great historical Russia, for future generations, our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Putin’s Speech on Annexation).”

He then went on to remind the world that the great “Satanic power” known as the United States, has been subjugating people all over the world thanks to its oppressive, colonial system for centuries.

If you know anything about history, then you will know that the U.S. has never had colonies in the traditional sense. We were once the American colonies and then as a nation — yes, there is more on this topic but not for this article.

If we want to get a little picky about Putin’s history lesson for his trapped audience in Moscow, then it is necessary to point out that all of eastern Europe and Soviet republicans like Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia were held hostage by the Red Army after World War II. Independence…
