Republicans like to pretend that much of their base isn’t prone to violence, but we have a ton of small hints to convince us that they are. For me, January 6th comes to mind but that is the low-hanging fruit, right?
There are other fruits, higher up in the tree, that make me feel pretty confident that Trump’s latest veiled call to violence could be heeded. Donald Trump has sort of called for the assassination of Mitch McConnell. We will get to the actual offense in a moment, but let’s first take a glance at the Americans for whom Trump’s words are gospel.
You’ve seen these dummies. They are the “nice MAGA-hat-wearing white guys” driving around in their massive, loud pick-ups, rigs made louder thanks to the Borla exhaust, with neo-Nazi Trump flags flapping gloriously in the wind.
