Conservatives Support Trump Because History Is Like Rocket Science
The requirements for being a conservative in the U.S. are fairly simple: Just say whatever comes to mind regardless of whether it’s true or not, mix in some anti-gay or minority slurs, and then drop in a praise Jesus, and voila, a right-winger is born.
Trump has this formula all figured out. In fact, he not only masters it but one could call him a genius. Imagine that, Donald Trump is a genius! Yes, there have been crazier declarations but the guy has got his army of the historically ignorant so figured out that honestly, he could write a psychology book. It would be called: The Psychology of the Stupid.
Harsh? No. Honest? Jesus honest.
Some may want to suggest that I am just being a jerk by calling all of the Trumpists ignorant. I agree it’s a “jerky” statement but it’s a title that they have earned. Go ahead, say it:
Yeah, but you have met every Trumpist. Some are quite successful and rich. Some are smarter than you.
To those points, I will say that you may be absolutely right. Many of them are smarter, wealthier, and probably even happier — remember, ignorance is bliss.
