Americans Considering ‘Third Party Candidates’ Are Dolts
And most of them seem well-off enough that four more years of Trump won’t affect them much.
If you have never been to Buck’s County, Pennsylvania, let me tell you: It’s beautiful. Like most parts of the East Coast, it’s a nice, rural area with easy access to two major cities, which has seen the sale of lush, picturesque farmland plowed into strip malls and Amazon fulfillment centers. Despite this, though, Buck’s Country has managed to preserve its charm.
In a way that only the eastern part of Pennsylvania (and some towns in upstate New York) does, beautiful, ancient stone houses with small mills nearby are set up by the bright red and white covered bridges. In the Fall, leaves lazily twirl through the air, and the exclamatory staccato of falling acorns always seems to be offering up a message about the oncoming winter. In earnest, locals put in their storm windows — if they still hadn’t upgraded — and the buzzing and chopping of wood becomes a bit more frantic. The air, except for the hot summer months — and now the hot autumn months — seems ever to be laced with hints of burning pine, marshmallows, and steeping hot chocolate.
Most importantly for the local folks, well-off liberals, bitter but also not poor Trumpists, and clueless…
