A Tale of Two Countries: Raphael Warnock versus Herschel Walker

The fact that Republicans are okay with Walker shows how far apart we truly are

The race for the Georgia Senate seat, which is currently held by Raphael Warnock and sought by Herschel Walker, perfectly captures the night and day differences that exist between blue and red America.

Mr. Warnock was elected the 11th black Senator from the South and only the second one since the end of Reconstruction. A preacher at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where Martin Luther King preached until his assassination in 1968, Warnock is the kind of man any American should be proud to have leading us. He is the kind of politician that makes children aspire to be better.

Warnock is, of course, a Democrat. The white racists of Georgia, of course, hate him.

Herschel Walker is a former professional football player. He starred for a short while on Donald Trump’s USFL New Jersey Generals football team. Since his retirement, Mr. Walker has had a very interesting and not-so-glorious past.

He claims to be a business owner with 800 employees but it turns out he had only eight. He claims to have worked in law enforcement only to have never worked in law enforcement. He claims to have graduated in the 1%…
