A Perfect Storm
Stability is being swept away, and half of the population thinks this will somehow benefit them.
In the last 24 hours, a dementia-slowed Donald Trump has rescinded the top secret security clearance from President Joe Biden and decided that he would become the director of the Kennedy Center for the Arts. Trump gave a reason to the press why he was denying Biden a privilege most presidents enjoy until they die: “He rescinded my security clearance, so I’m taking his away, too.” President Biden denied Trump access to top-secret materials based on his behavior and complicity for the tragedy of January 6th.
Donald Trump proved to the world that his interests were not in protecting the Constitution of the United States but in preserving his own tenuous hold on power. As we later learned, Trump never really lost access to top-secret documents because he had a whole trove carelessly strewn about his downstairs bathroom. As Trump has proven in the last two weeks, making America great again and protecting the Constitution are not things that come first to mind when asked, “So, why did you become president?”
Trump’s sole reason for becoming president this second time was to make the world that tried to punish him for his criminality and otherwise anti-social behavior pay for that audacious display of recalibrating…
