A Good Guy With a Gun Finally Killed a Bad Guy at an Indiana Mall
I am not sure if this is a “yippee-moment” or not. After all, three people were killed. It did, however, finally happen. The moment the gun fringe has been waiting for transpired in an Indiana mall the other day and so little happened to ring this moment in.
Bells in towns, hollers, and valleys all across the nation did not shout out to the nearby peaks of purple mountains majesty. No white smoke drifted lazily into the air from a barely-seen pipe extending from orange-reddish tiles in Rome announcing to the world that good bullets stopped bad bullets.
On Sunday evening in Greenwood, Indiana, a shooter raced from the bathroom into the food court of the Greenwood Park Mall. Opening fire on the innocent shoppers, he managed to end the lives of three more Americans foolishly thinking that they had the right to go into public and not be slaughtered.
But the story, folks, is not so tragic. It was only three people killed and not the 10, 20, or 30 the shooter had probably hoped to be removing from the next census.
Thanks to a genuine hero — and I say this without any sarcasm — we can cap the number of the dead with a nice-sounding “only.” Only three people…
