The first executive order Donald Trump signed yesterday upon becoming the 47th president was something that would alleviate the economic concerns of his supporters: Trump ordered that all flags be raised to full mast to celebrate his inauguration. Since the death of President Jimmy Carter, they have been flying at half-mast as Carter is still lying in state.

A farce Shakespeare himself would never dare put to paper — because it is so utterly ridiculous and mindless — commenced yesterday. The cult leader, flanked by his core constituency, four men whose net worth totals $867 billion, announced to the world that the United States is done playing “Mr. Nice Guy.” The United States is now a haven for special interests and anyone, including our nation’s enemies, who wants to make a quick buck or two (billions) by pilfering the nation’s resources.

MAGidiots across the nation got what they wished for. Trump’s only admission that working and middle-class Americans are out there waiting for “prices to drop” and “wars to end” was when he, in the language of Adolf Hitler, stated he would declare a “state of emergency” at the Southern border. Racists and Fox viewers cheered gleefully at the prospect of all…
